1917 Kenichiro Mochizuki founds Mochizuki Corporation.
Starts to import Tungsten Filament, as it is not produced in Japan.
1923 - Following the great Kanto earthquake, starts to import Vacuum Tube, Nickel Sheet and other materials which are in high demand as radio comes into wide use.
1944 Establishes THE JAPAN LAMP INDUSTRIES CO., LTD.
(1941-1945) After World War‡U, restarts import business. Becomes a pioneer importer of Neon gas from France. Expands business into China, Philippine, India and Egypt. Later main focus shifts to materials for Electron Tube and sells materials to universities and research institutes throughout Japan.
1973 The oil crisis causes the company to change direction to trading materials for R & D.
1988 Establishes Nilaco Analytical Laboratory offering analysis of materials to customers (NAL).
1989 Changes company name to gTHE NILACO CORPORATIONh on its 45th year anniversary.
1995 Establishes Nilaco Information Center (NIC).
1998 Moves to a new office.
2001 Creates Web site and Internet order system.
